About Us

Called to Care was formed in 2013 by a handful of individuals who simply had a heart for orphan care. Without any doubt, the Lord has blessed the efforts of Called to Care and the ministry has exploded into something they never imagined.

In the beginning, our efforts were focused on ministering to the foster care community in Tift County by providing safe events for teens, educating the community about needs, providing tangible needs, and providing support to foster and biological families.

We provided education and resources to families who were adopting. We sent several teams to China and Uganda to minister to orphans and supported several other international mission trips.

While Called to Care was first started as a reaction to great need, over the years, we have transformed our communities into proactive service to not just “fill the gaps,” but to truly anticipate family needs and meet those through community collaboration.

Today, Called to Care is working in 6 focus areas:

Mission & Vision...
Until every child is home.

The mission of Called to Care is to equip the body of Christ to support children, families, and workers by ministering through adoption, foster care, and missions.

Our vision is for every child to be in a Christ-centered, loving home.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”  James 1:27

We are not all called to travel on foreign missions, open up our home to orphans, or advocate in court for mistreated children, but we are all called to do something. Called to Care’s efforts are focused on creating a community of believers who work together to fill the physical, emotional, and social needs of children who are hurting and to help lessen the burden of those who are in direct care of those children.

We hope our mission will speak to you and you will join us by making a monetary contribution or by volunteering your time and resources!

Statement of Faith:

Called to Care, Inc. is established upon the following doctrinal statements:

  1. We believe in the triune God, eternally existing and manifested as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. We affirm that the Bible is the infallible and complete revelation of Christ to which nothing may be added or taken away (Rev. 22:18-19). All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, and was resurrected.
  4. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. All are sinful and in need of justification.
  5. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are children of God, and there is no other way of salvation. Baptism, Christian living, and church membership serve only as outward symbols and/or evidence of an individual’s commitment to Christ.
  6. We believe and abide by the Biblical definitions of marriage and family, including the Biblical emphasis on marriage, being in a faithful relationship between one man and one woman; the sanctity of ALL human life, beginning with conception through the natural death of an individual; and the rejection of all alternative lifestyles not based on Biblical principles.
